How The Law Of Attraction Works

HOW THE LAW OF ATTRACTION WORKS

I don’t like it when we people dance around the concept of the Law of Attraction—making it confusing to grasp, and claiming it as some elusive secret that only a few among us know. Here is my definition.

The Law of Attraction: Your thoughts and feelings have a magnetic resonance, which either attract energy (people, places & things) towards you or repel energy away from you. In other words, what you think about and feel about you bring about.

YOUR VIBRATION

Your mind works with the outside world, through the Law of Attraction, by means of energy and vibration. Everything in the world resonates at a specific vibration, including your mind, body and soul. The vibrational energy that you are emitting is dictating what you attract in life. Your vibrations have specific frequencies that match up, or do not match up, to what you want in life. With this being said, if you want to manifest your desires and dreams, then you must vibrate and emit the right frequency necessary to get that.

Your vibration is like a radio wave that metaphorically broadcast specific frequencies waves. If your desire is on the frequency of 101am but your vibration is on 105fm then you will never reach your desire. Alternatively, when you centralize your thoughts and emotions on your desire, both your desires and vibrational frequency will match up, and immediately push you in the direction of getting what you want. Once you understand how this process works, you begin to ask yourself: how can I centralize my thoughts and get onto the vibration of my desires?

ATTENTION & FOCUS

Your attention and focus are controlling your current vibrational state. Both of these components act by creating a chain reaction. Your attention and focus direct your thoughts, and then your thoughts direct your emotional state. Your emotions (e-motion—energy moving) create a specific vibration throughout your mind-body construct. Because of your conscious mind, you can choose what you want to put your attention and focus on. By doing so, you have the capacity to guide and control what you want to think about and feel about. When your vibrational state (emotional-state) matches what you dream and desire, you will attract that into your life.

INSIDE YOUR MIND

There is whole world inside your mind, full of thoughts, emotions, ideas, and images. Through the power of concentration, you can choose to go into any area of the mind by putting your attention and focus on what you want. In other words, your awareness can travel into different parts of the mind, exploring and connecting with the various thoughts and emotions. You have the capacity to be focused and aware of whatever you choose. I would highly recommend you put your awareness on your dreams and desires.

Furthermore, your mind is not bound by time. You can easily think about the past, the present moment, or the future. If you have the desire to change you current circumstance, then you have to put your attention on different thoughts. And since your dreams and desires are future oriented, you have to put your awareness on the future. However, this can create a potential problem. Since you have not manifested them into reality yet, it can be difficult to focus and fixate your thoughts on them. Unless you have a strong enough reason why, or purpose, you probably won’t concentrate on your dreams long enough to match and hold their specific vibrational frequency, and use the Law of Attraction to your advantage.

THINKING & FEELING WHAT YOU WANT

If you want to move in the direction of your dreams you need to develop the capacity to guide your conscious (thinking) mind and influence your subconscious (feeling) mind. Remember, what you think about and feel about you bring about. In order for you to create and maintain the right vibrational frequency your conscious and subconscious mind need to be best friends.

Whenever there is a conflict between your thoughts and feelings there is a problem. If you think one thing and feel another thing, your energy is going in separate directions. How can you attract what you want when your conscious mind wants one thing and your subconscious mind wants another? If your thoughts and feelings are not in alignment, you will feel stuck, frustrated and lost. Both aspects of the mind need each other to function properly.

SELECTIVE HEARING

When it comes to the Law of Attraction, your mind has selective hearing. Your conscious mind understands the difference between wanting and not wanting, desire and distain, dreams and nightmares. However, your subconscious mind cannot differentiate wanting versus not wanting, only the thought or idea. So when something goes wrong and you don’t want something, and you allow that thought to saturate into your subconscious, the subconscious only hears what’s wrong (the unwanted thought). More accurately, it is translating thoughts into feelings, and thus, only cares about the vibration of the thought, not the details of wanting or not wanting. As long as you think about not wanting something, your subconscious will vibrate on that frequency.

The subconscious does not have a filter; it simply stores energy, which is why it’s so crucial that you take tremendous care for what you let into our mind in the first place. You must tap into the conscious mind and choose better feeling thoughts, which will eventually influence the vibrational frequency of your emotions. In order to do this you must use the power of your concentration to direct your awareness toward the part of the mind that you want to focus on. This is the process, and only through repetition and proper thought (emotionally stimulating) selection you can begin to reprogram the mind.

 REACTING VS RESPONDING

The results and circumstances in your life are a product of your mind, whether it be conscious or subconscious. In every situation you can either react or respond.

When you react to life it’s an outside-in process. You see the outside world and your current situation, and you allow that to control your awareness (attention and focus). This makes you focus on unpleasant thoughts and emotions, controlling your vibration, and leading you to act out instinctively. By allowing everything on the outside to control your behavior, you are subconsciously reacting to life, not consciously responding. It is only after the reaction that you consciously grasp the fullness of the situation, and how you subordinated your power to consciously decide.

On the other hand, you have the choice to respond. This process starts on the inside, with an analysis of your thoughts and emotions, and the recognition of the choices available. Responding to life is consciously choosing to direct your awareness so that you can decide how you want to behave. This requires a higher level of consciousness—one that holds the power in order for you to respond. This process is all about taking responsibility for your actions moment to moment, and it means you are RESPONSE – ABLE (able to respond).

In every situation, it’s important to realize that there is a space between every thought, every emotion, and every action, which allows you the opportunity to either, react or respond. You have the power to direct your thoughts and perceptions, master your emotions, and then choose actions in accordance to what you want to create moment to moment.
